Another Korean film worth looking into is Chugyeogja (The Chaser).

Films that show a compulsive killer in a "tells his story" method
First there's the classic impulsive killer movie, "M" by Fritz Lang
American Psychonot one of my favorites but everybody else carps on it.
Honeymoon KillersTruffaut called it one of his fave flicks
TargetsBodonovich's breakout movie and probably Boris Karloff's greatest latter year performance.
Birdman of Alcatraztrue, only two murders committed, but it peels the psyche of the criminal and shows a side that compels the viewer to sympathize in spite of the character's first impression.
High and Lowmurder and kidnapping by an unrepentant mental case, seen from the viewpoint of the victims. A rare modern performance by Mifune.

I would have to recommend the French film Tell No One.

I can't recommend anything, as I haven't seen this (it's coming next week via Netflix.)
Would this be anything like "Oldboy"?

I watched No Country for Old Men for the first time today and thought it was thematically similar to Vengeance is Mine, but I definitely thought the latter was a better movie.

Pale Flower. The French New Wave meets the Japanese underworld. Very nihilistic. Not technically a serial killer film.
