I loved watching them both! They were classics to watch. I remember watching them as a kid and would laugh hard throughout the movies.

Both movies are favourites of mine, but I'd have to give a slight edge to the first one. Beverly D'Angelo was in it, and like someone else said, a guy getting hit with a fish!

Second one. I love the orangutan in the second one. Looked more cheeky

The 2nd one was way better than the first one.It was funnier, had a great cast and of course it had probably the best fist fight ever in a film. Also if you've ever noticed Any Which Way You Can gets way more airplay on tv than the first one which is hardly even played on tv.

I live in the UK and "Every which way but loose" is shown far more than "Any Which way you can". I personally prefer the first movie. The second movie wasn't bad but I felt it became a bit too silly and slapstick in parts, in particular the ending where all the people ran to see the fight. It all became a bit OTT. I preferred the more serious tone of the first film and it was quite nice to have an ending where everything wasn't resolved nicely and neatly. I was also not keen on the unbelievable character transformation of Lynn, between the first and the second she went from being a nasty, selfish and icy character to being a virtual saint in the second movie.

Well I liked that Lynn became normal. And the fight was so hyped up that's why everyone went crazy to see it.Plus they had money riding on it.Here in the USA the 2nd one is always on tv more.It just came out on Blu-Ray too.Cinemax actually showed it in HD this morning and it looked really good in high definition.

I think I'll say the 2nd one, the first one was funny, but as I remember it (haven't seen it in some time) it took itself a little bit too serious, and hell, "right turn, Clyde" is too awesome to exist x)

I prefer the second film. It moves at a quicker pace, gives us more Eastwood fight scenes, "Right Turn Clyde" and doesn't get bogged down with the boring Eastwood-Locke romance that dragged the original.

just watched both for the first time. gotta say i laughed more during the first and the second just seemed a bit too far out at times. really enjoyed both tho and will be saying "right turn clyde" for ages!

A long dead thread, but here goes my two cents..
Loved 'Every Which Way But Loose' more than this one for the unexpected twists in the end (breakup, loosing fight). 'Any which way you can' is no way inferior, but I enjoyed watching part 1 a LOT more.

Because it was a feel good movie and I personally believe you can never have too

I wish there had been a third "Which" movie. Unfortunately, that ship has sailed. Was a third ever planned? Did it have a name?
I like "Any Which" a little more than "Every Which".

Both are great but I will definitely go with Any Which Way You Can. I thought Any Which Way You Can was more funnier than Every Which Way But Loose

While the second film probably made me laugh more, I feel like the first is an overall better made film. Love them both though.
