OK . Thanks. just got through watching this movie again after not seeing it for twenty years and some things just dont make sense as much as they did then. to me anyway.
Like how could the boy with the mace have known what was happeneing five subway cars ahead of him? LOL LOL LOL
Its a beautiful movie, it really is. But then I start to think too hard and ruin it for myself!

Here's my take: The killer didn't know she was going to go back up. The killer was trying to follow her, and was waiting for the elevator to go downstairs and find her. But when Angie went back up, she was right there when the killer was in front of the elevator door.

This is how I interpreted it. Bobbi hadn't necessarily intended on killing her in the elevator, she was stalking her and just happened to finally be face to face with her Then took the opportunity. Remember she was following her since the museum.

Exactly. I read somewhere that if you're ever cornered in an elevator, press as many floor buttons as possible. That will give you as many chances to escape as possible, or someone is waiting to get on, and the killer doesn't want that someone seeing him or her and possible be identified. Angie should have done that instead of just cringing in fear.

You know, there's always someone who has to force the logic issue. You are one of the people Hitchcock called "the plausibles". In answer to your question, let me quote Hitchcock again, "Oh, Ingrid, it's only a movie."

Implying that, because Hitchcock
allegedly
said it, it must be valid for everybody.
But it's bunk, Hitchcock or no. We expect the story in a novel to make sense, so why not the story in a film? Why do we get this tosh about how "It's not a dcoumentary"?
You might very well think that. I couldn't possibly comment. -

Yeah, I agree, this is pretty stupid behavior on the part of the killer. He waited there on the 7th floor for how long after Angie got her freak on, watches her get in the elevator and then just continues to wait there for no reason whatsoever? Stupid.
I want the doctor to take your picture so I can look at you from inside as well.
