The prequel duels are cool, but too dancing around and jumping and twirling their sabers. Vader vs Luke looks like they're actually trying to hit each other.

The prequel and sequel duels were flashy but boring. The problem with them is an over reliance on acrobatics and CGI whereas the original trilogy depended on building up ab emotional stake in the outcome. Also the duels were way too frequent in the newer movies.
That said I liked the emperor versus Yoda because it was a grudge match. Although literally none of yoda’s strikes would have landed
so whatever.
Obiwan versus Vader in III was too flashy and felt soft. There were good moments to it but Vader’s brutality wasn’t showcased like in the OT and the fear you’d get for Luke wasn’t there for Obiwan. So much dancing around, it just didn’t feel like a fight at all.
Probably the best duel from the PT is Maul followed by the fight with Dooku v Anakin/Obi in III, and then Yoda versus Sidious. The rest are all flash n trash.

Honestly when it comes to Lightsaber Fights in "
STAR WARS
", I think that it isn't just about the duels themselves when it comes to whether they are good Lightsaber Fights or not but also how the music is during the Fights as they happen.
For an example, If a Lightsaber Fight is happening and you just have Fight Music from the Original Trilogy playing during it then it's a good Fight. However, if you have "
Duel of The Fates
" (from the Prequel Trilogy) play during a Lightsaber Fight then it's makes the Fight feel a lot more BIGGER and EPIC (to me at least).
I can tell you right now that if they had played "
Duel of The Fates
" during the Lightsaber Fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader in the "
OBI-WAN KENOBI
" TV show then it would have been (and definitely felt) a whole heck of a lot better than it was. -

I can tell you right now that if they had played "Duel of The Fates" during the Lightsaber Fight between Obi-Wan Kenobi and Darth Vader in the "OBI-WAN KENOBI" TV show then it would have been (and definitely felt) a whole heck of a lot better than it was.
This is why I love fan edits.
