Dale Arden: sexy?

I think the actress who played Dale was pretty, but if she has sex appeal, it sure didn't shine through Dale Arden. Even when Ming shot her with his Big-O Ray and she was writhing and moaning nothing. When Flash told her that her spectacle was "pretty sensational," I was left wondering whether he was looking at the same thing I was.
I've seen a few posts here with the opinion that Dale was actually sexier than Princess Aura, and it left me scratching my head. Some may think that it's as simple as weighing a scrubbed and fresh small-town girl against an over-the-top seductress, but I don't think it's that simple; I find farm girl Mary Ann from "Gilligan's Island" to be much sexier than Hollywood bombshell Ginger.
So, how did you feel about Dale?

I think she was up against some pretty formidable competition. Plus the big hair is never going to do her any favours.

Totally agree. Can't put my finger on it but I didn't find Dale attractive at all, and I too usually go for the down-home women than the bombshells that are pushed as the "sexy" ones.

I'd hit Kala before I'd pick Dale, though. Seriously. I never found her 'sexy' at all, to be honest, as a kid, teenager or now. Pretty, but not sexy. I never saw what Flash - or Ming, for that matter - saw in her! Klytus has much better taste, IMO.

Did you notice in the 'football fight' scene the women ringing the room in the flowing capes and headdresses. They were all thin and statuesque - combined with Princess Aura, Kala and the chambermaids - poor Dale never had a chance.

Dale in the flick, generates a "lusty" kind of vibe. Not really bombshell sexy, but def worth a tumble in the sack (her sleepy, bedroom eyes nail it). Princess Aura, however, generates the pure sex appeal in the movie. There is not a single scene or shot of her that does not spark hardcore thoughts or fantasies. Personally, my favorite is when are first introduced to her. The way her low cut costume rides her hip bones makes me hungry for sure.

But it was probably intentional, give her a kind of wholesome quality verse the sex-vixens populating Ming's realm.

well I found plain adorable, defiantly a cutie and I found her more attractive then the aura who was just too over the top sex kitten. dales big doe eyes and almost baby like face was so much prettier and her nice girl persona.
Realism, Remakes and Unnecessary Sequels are ruining movies!

Well, she has some pretty stiff competition. She's pretty, but with all the other ladies in the cast who just ooze sex appeal, she's rather asexual in comparison.

She wasn't suppose to give off a sexy vibe in this movie. She was suppose to be different than the rest of the sex kittens who populated Ming's empire. If you want to see her in a role where she actually is sexy than watch her in Firewalker. She was sexy as hell in that movie.
