This is just another example of 'different strokes for different strokes', Johnny. I think you'll find that one person's 'marred' is another person's 'decorated'. Still, I must concur that either way Princess Aura DID have the must perfect tushie!

A rookie mistake, Banjo. The lash or switch should always be applied to the bare skin. Otherwise there's a risk of fibre geting into the welts and causing an infection. Very nasty!
However, if the lovely Kala had employed a paddle or a tawse, that would have been a different story. She could have gone to town on the seat of Aura's pants without fear of causing anything more serious than a few blisters! Imagine the look on Aura's face when Kala cracked the leather down. You GO girl!

It wouldn't be her choice, Johny. It would be Ming's. That is the whole point of forcing her to display her glowing buns. To reinforce - and indeed - accentuate her total humiliation.
It would be very difficult for Aura to swan so imperiously around the royal court while she is, so to speak, blushing at both ends! -

Being she's a Princess of the Blood, "volunteers" would have little say if ordered to attend to that well-warmed derriere not that there would be a shortage of those eager to help, I'd bet (perhaps that was the special job of those bedchamber attendants we see or of her secret doctor 'friend'?).
Of course, if that old perv Klytus catches her at this game, she might be in even MORE hot water! -

Indeed! To be quite honest I was rather hoping that the Princess would take a a few lashes across her tushie too. But I guess that pulling down those red spandex pants would have pushed the movie into an 'R' rating! Oh well
In the novelization, Ming tells Aura that after they've disposed of Flash, he should tie her to his bed and whip her butt as they did "in more innocent times" and Aura responds very enthusiastically to this suggestion.
