Menacing. Haunting. Back when composers created terrifying scores. You can just hear the pain of those souls at The Overlook screaming. When this aired on network TV I was about 4 or 5. Had to go to bed after the beginning because it scared me and mom that bad. We didn't know what movie it was either when searching for it years later. I thought it might have been The Car's opening for the longest time.
