      The second 80s synth version by the guy from Mr. Mister is way better IMO. Didn't care too much for the show tunesy first version.

        Agree. I like the second one better. It's a bit more jazzed up.

              The original theme sort of set the tone for the show, about trying to get ahead and all that. It was sort of describing Nell Harper's life: She had accepted a job caring for the family of a friend who had died after her singing career didn't take off.

                  Like both, but I prefer the second one a little more since the lyrics are more positive.
