I am renting this from Netflix and watching it for the first time in like I do not know how many years. The last time I saw this on in reruns was when USA Network would show programs like this in rerurns back before NBC bought out the USA Network and altered the programming.
I loved watching this when I was a kid from 1981 until I believe I was a teenager about 15 or 16 years old. I loved the show and more networks should be showing this in reruns like Nick@Nite and TV Land in my opinion!
Dedicated to USA UP ALL NIGHT and the fans!

I agree with Steven's view that this is a very entertaining show. I was ten when it debuted, and I remember watching it from the first episode until the last season, when I was probably a sophomore in high school. Every week it was one of those shows my sister and I looked forward to seeing.
I am glad that it is available for new audiences to find and enjoy. Some of the episodes seem very dated by today's standards, but most of them are classic and rather funny. Overall, Gimme a Break functions as a time capsule of how families lived then, as well as how network television comedies were produced in the 1980s. -

Let me see, I was a junior in high school when the last season aired myself. I didn't care for the final season and really didn't watch it back then. It is a good show to catch up on and there are some real funny moments that I've responded on youtube about. Are there things I would've done differently? Yes.
