Either the OP is wrong, or right, but needlessly cryptic.
              According to wiktionary:
              "Cast (plural casts):
An object made in a mould."
Sure, cast seems to be pretty much 'dead' (though depends on how you interpret 'dead' - because is anything TRULY ever 'dead', considering that everything consists of energy that consists of wave packets of atoms, which are constantly on the move and very much alive, and which forms the smallest part of the spirit that can be still experienced as physical matter - the spirit that formed the Universe out of itself?).
If you talk about this type of cast, you can be considered correct (to some extent), but you also would be required to elaborate your meaning a little better for it to be completely understood.
But if you mean this definition:
              "Cast (plural casts):
The collective group of actors performing a play or production together. Contrasted with crew. "
Then you are clearly and simply, utterly wrong. The people that formed the cast of this movie (as a 'cast', they don't of course exist anymore, but non-existence is not the same as 'dead' - 'dead' needs a substance of some kind, which 'non-existence' doesn't have) are still ALIVE, somewhere..
.. they may not be in physical bodies right now (some may already be, though), they may not be on this planet, or on this plane of existence, but somewhere, they are all completely and utterly ALIVE.
So what did you mean, exactly? The mysterious, 'need to explain what you mean' version of 'cast', or the 'you are completely wrong' version?

                You are needlessly bonkers.
