This seems to be a somewhat pointless question since I'm not sure we can know what was intended, but I'm curious
about what people think did it seem like Morgana found Sir Percival pitiable for his hardships and, left to her own
devices, would've chosen to let him go again as she saw him as deluded but harmless? -

In my opinion no. That would be a little out of character for her. I think her plan was to sooth him into some sort of relaxed state then ace him. Why chance him coming to his senses, finding the grail and restoring Arthur's health? That would have endangered Mordreds ascension. She was alllll about that happening.
