Hi there. My friends in America got to these big horror movie weekend conventions and meet the people there. They usually have tables there and you buy stuff from them and get autograph and pictures of them. I want to come to them but the cost is so high to just even fly these days there. If a big show happens I might come out. I have not been back in America in many years. They meet and talk to Sid Haig. He didn’t have much infos. He said the set was very locked down that day. Only supposed to be small crew but wound up being a lot due to they needed people to lift the maggot and fix broken things. He saw the operations guys were drawing straws to get on the bottom of the maggot. They would get a face full of Taffy. The one sent me an autographed blu ray from him. RIP. Robert England was also not much infos. Said they heard around the set what was gonna happen and people were suddenly I’m ok getting the stomach ripped open. He also told him the story of the high art guy telling him about the worm **** the girl. Al Apone talked a lot about it. He couldn’t tell much as he was in the head and had horrible sight view an the set was dark and hard to see. He did get face to face time with Taaffe when they did the head scenes. He’s one that day a lot of funny and filthy dialogue exchanged out we’re doing voice over. He tells a lot about building the maggot and stuff that didn’t work or went wrong. They wanted it to lift her up and weap the tentacles around her like it pulling her legs apart in a scene but they were weak and hollow and cantnot hold weigh or keep positions.
He talk to one of Skoteks. He told about the body casting stuffs and reuse the little maggot puppet.
They go to a convention show where Alec Gillis was but it was different. He was in a bigger space with a way long line so you cant talk to him like the others. He does Jurassic Park and Alien and Predator so he has lots of fans. The best source was a guy called Austin Kinnely. He works as a camera assistant. He talked a lot of stuffs about bloopers and errors on set. Also great infos on movie making process. It sounds like directors sit back on set and watch a tv of the shooting. I go watch Christopher Nolan shoot Batman the Dark Knight here and he stands right next to the camera. He said Corman was standing right up in the shooting next to the camera very focus on the scene. He kept telling it do things with the tentacles they could not use before the cutting. He also would watch the shooting. Then go look in the camera and then tell them to shoot again but he needs the camera moved to the left side more. He gave my friend his email and said hed write to him when he thought of things and did. He also told him other people to talk to. One was an intern at the effects studio but he’s the one who wants to remain anonymous. He actually work on more Corman films after and even work with the group James Cameron used in movies. He remembers more of the stuffs from the shot clips not used. Like there was 5 or 6 minutes of the face to face shooting of Taffee and maggot humping on her. A lot was funny stuff she said or did they cant not use. Also a few things of them at the studio watching footage. Sadly he not hear from Austin after a while but he died and so did the cameraman Jaque. Jim Wynorski was at a big Horror Wastland con last year but he could not make it to go to it. I guess they screened Not Of This Earth in a theatre during it. The one did Taafee at a con. I think it was her only one. She’s pretty open to about talking about the scene and laughing about it. He got a lot of autographs and has a card with a piece of her uniform on a square. He said it was a breaking experience for him. She’s pretty old now but has so much plastic surgery done to her, she looks weird. He’d rather her look old and wrinkles up than all smooth and shiny and her lips look big. She also acted like she was drunk or on the drugs. Plus she did a yahoo chat on the GOT com site but it might be lost to the time.
My friends want to write a book about the making of the scene but I don’t think there’s enough for a whole book. The one is a huge Corman fan and thought maybe about doing a book on sex in his films which could work. They worry about the kickstarter programme might not accept such a work. We might release an as he calls it oral history of the making of scene on some erotic blogs or writing sites. I would like details of the cuts to try to draw or ai make them. Also it’s wild how fast ai movie stuffs is moving so may try to remake them or add scenes and make an edit. I also want to make art of how some making scenes might have looked. I laugh about him seeing Taaffe all crunched up against the worm while they shooting her butt and legs with the big tentacles and another guy holding her foot up. I always maybe hope to attract crew members with good stories with the art or writings we might do. -

Thanks for the info. I've tried to find out over the years what was cut, and according to RJ Kizer, there wasn't a lot of footage removed just to get rid of the X-rating.
I never thought about any footage of them just doing setups or other shots that they never even tried to put into the film in the first place. I'm not sure what would happen to all of that extra footage, but apparently, it's unavailable or Shout! would have put it on a release by now.
I think now the technology might be available for a low-budget yet somewhat realistic recreation of the scene. There are adult websites that are using CGI (it's called "AI" now because that's everybody's favorite buzzword these days) in ways that this could be done. Someone recreating the scene would probably try and make it longer and more explicit. The problem is if they were to do that and make the scene drag on too long, it would lose the chaotic edge the original scene had.
But, maybe someday someone will give it a go.
Was the "dialogue" being done with Taaffe during the shoot just people laughing and messing around, or was it actual dialogue? -

Yes that’s what I want to know for years. What’s stuffs was cut out, different angles, how long of time was taken out. Seeing that trailer scene made me wonder about it. Also seeing the making of too made it seem interesting. I start making artworks of it but want to make pics at least of missing scenes but no one knows or talks about it. I get dms from people who like it and then find out many years ago there was a whole website and community about it. I only find old parts on way back machine but much is missing or lost to the ages. Then they share with me infos they got from meeting or talking to people making the movie and it’s whole other rabbit hole of infos. I see movies made all the time here but did not think about the details some of these guy were talking about. Lots of layers of things that are all interesting. There was lots of neat ideas brought up for the scene not used but these are mostly what people can remember since it is now 40 years old
I try to put the video of the scene up on my twitter. Now I try to learn editing and do a few things with the scene. I always thought it should cut away to that scene where the crew is walking in the same room. It feels like they are trapped while she’s being raped in another part. We’ll see how it flow.
She did some screaming as she preformed in the scene, but the director and Roger were giving direction of what she should do or feel. They didnt not have a storyboard or anything to go off of. They looked at the thing in the warehouse and tried to get an idea of how it could go. They wanted it to be on top of her but no one mentioned it to her til she got on set. Found it was going to slime her all over too. There was a few minutes of her getting thrown around by the tentacles. Sone parts she’d bust out laughing. Since they only had the 4 upper tentacles, Taffee had to stand on a platform so it could grab her butt. It was tricky cause some slime got on it and made it slippey. They had some much going wrong or not working it sounds like it’s lucky to get what they have to use in the scene. The tentacles couldn’t grip or hold anything so they had to pin them to her pants. There was one the guy remember where she’s back is turned to it like where she tilts her head and screams it pushed a tentacle up between her legs on her crotch. It might have been cut to take out sexual stuffs or they did use that on Cabern in the fight with the maggot in the red room. They wanted to yank her pants down before her falling back but she didn’t want the lower nudity so they just cut the legs to not show too much.
Al said he felt like a pilot grabbing the pulley controls of the big tentacles while he moved his head around inside of it.
He said it was like a curtain thing over the face opening where his head was. As he was instructed to help push it along while it was swinging on the chain hooks it was on. The bottom guy moved too and it made the nice humping motion as it moved. When it swung he could usually see the top of her hair. She made jokes is it in yet? Or wow baby it’s soo big. He said she did some stuff like oh god, no no no, not there, then like a oh yes yes. Even did a scream thing like ow my pussy! None of this was going in of course. The guy said it was like a 5-6 minute long shot of her moving her head while reacting to directing dialogue. Stuff like of he’s putting it in, it hurts it feels good, move with him etc. Roger wanted to put a tentacle in her mouth but it didn’t happen. The director at one point said it’s a horror movie not a porno!! He did remember vividly She at one point where she was orgasming lick the tentacles on the side of her face and put the tip in her mouth then laughed. He said they didn’t really do the cut go again action type set up, except a few times. It was more they run for a few minutes of the set ups. The part with her pushing up on the maggot before the rape, 5-6 mins of just her head and face, several minutes of the leg and butt rubbing, then stop and moved her down by the big tentacles to do the tit rubbing scene and record several minutes of that set up. -

Ok, so it sounds like Corman wanted to push it as far as he could. He hired someone (Iya Labunka I think) to be her body double to do full nudity, and he wanted an oral shot apparently, but that wouldn't have flown so didn't do it. The "dialogue" I guess was just messing around because there wasn't any actual dialogue in a script for any of this. The entire scene wasn't even the script that I've seen.
If Taffee was doing all of that, it makes me wonder why Corman even hired a double to start with? Maybe originally O'Connell balked but then came around to doing most of the shot anyway? -

The camera assistant and intern wondered why she said all these parts were double but she was there. She dad say she was concern for doing the scene in old interviews cause she do regular tv shows like Happy Day and 3s Company plus others I have saw like Wonder Woman and Hulk. I imagine someone back in the day see her on tv thought hey! It’s that girl from GOT that got screwed by the worm, she has such nice tits. It must have been a big icebreaker cause she did a lot of nudity in Hot Chili playing a bondage woman and also the Caged Fury. She has good scenes in there where she lets a guard play with her tits and gets raped and her shirt riped open at the end.
They said on the Lumberyard she prayed the night before with a priest. She also took some liquor to take edges off. She explained to my friend that she really didnt get the point of the scene til she was standing in front of the maggot. She’s a tough high skilled woman, 3rd in command of the mission. She’s comfortable in her sexuality and enjoying it but always afraid of not getting satisfied. Terrifying scared of worms. She didn’t know at the time it was one of those maggots she missed shooting. She thinks it’s what killed Quhad and plans to kill or maybe eat her. With it molesting her she realized what is going to happen but is stuck to be able to do anything about it. She felt she had to do the scene and time out to talk to Rodger. They think she defied her agents orders to do it. She only supposed to be topless them switch but she felt comfortable with the crew. She also said in an interview she got really into the scene and thought it was hot. They said Rodger would offer lots of help to girls who get naked. She opened a astrology business after this movie.
It’s crazy how far ai is getting. I follow this Void Stomper and ai.work on instagram. They always making weird creatures or ones attacking women. I use it to get the GOT fan art going. I make a Heavy Metal magazine type art and Japanese animation style. I’m often getting the hate mail in my dm but I can’t draw and I can’t steal from all the GOT fan arts, there is almost none. I’m going to try to make a Taaffe O’Connell lora model but I’m still learning. I think it knows what I try to do. I got likes on people who feel it has a good likeness of Taaffe sometimes and I’m not using model for her.
I cut off parts to not offend or get in trouble here. -

I wonder if AI could tell what is her body and what's not. There are some clear shots of her nude with her face clearly visible. Perhaps it could be compared. When I look at the side view shots it doesn't look the same as the ones where her face is shown or the ones from her feet up to her face, but who knows.

Some women are comfortable with such things and I'm sure getting paid for it helps. I don't know if it's good physiologically to get to put too much worth on your appearance though. I read in a wiki that there were times during her career after this that she felt a bit exploited. Apparently a filming crew left her in a foreign country after filming that wasn't safe and she had to find her own way home. I also notice that lots of women that did nude scenes or were in movies more for their appearance had various work done on their face and bodies. Don't get me wrong, I love that she did this scene and other nude scenes.
On a side note, that would be so hot to have her acting out like it was a porn video from my own perspective. I can't even imagine her saying those things just for the fun of it or because she was into her character. That would be super stimulating IMO.
I'm pretty sure there is a shot with a tentacle between here legs. I thought it was when she lifted her butt up. I think you can only see it if you brighten the video. -

This is a Spanish version of it. It’s one of few where I check out lots of different country versions and they usually leave the Taffee screaming in. She gets quiet in parts too hear more of the music in the scene
