Does this really surprise anybody? The MPAA used to go ballistic on horror and sc-fi films in the 1980s. I remember a movie called "Angel Heart" had to be cut by ONE SECOND to get an R rating! Then BOTH versions were released in video! Insane.

I often watched that scene specificallyI mean you know for scientific reasons, but I think I can remember seeing Taaffe wearing some beige color underwear. But she was nude after that.
