I'm trying to figure out where the various exteriors were shot. I think it's fun to compare to now to see how much the city has changed.
Some of the daytime driving exteriors in the first half, like when he's with Belushi and on the way to the L&A Titling place look like they were shot by the bridges over the Chicago River at either Division Street or Chicago Ave. I'm pretty sure the building used for L&A Titling is (was) on Halsted right off of Division. I was thinking the shot of them on a bridge at the beginning (after the lower Wacker footage) might have been shot around there too but I can't tell for sure.
According to the location info here on imdb the location Frank gets pulled over is Webster Ave at Ashland. I'm very familiar with that intersection but didn't pick it out initially; though obviously it's changed quite a bit since back then.
Frank tells Belushi's character to meet him at Armitage and Lincoln, but I don't think anything was actually shot there.
I'm trying to figure out where the strip mall is that he stops in on the way to meet Tuesday Weld at the blues club (with an Armanetti in it).
The beach scene at the beginning looks like it could be Foster beach or Belmont Harbor.
Anyone else been able to spot locations that were used?
