Isn't it a bit awkward for Bobby, Sheild and Barry all having the same surname. I mean it happens sometimes, but ALL THREE OF THEM!
And they live in the same street too
I’m not really sure how it all works to be honest, but somehow it just does. You’ve got to remember that when Brookside was on television back in the 1980s and 1990s, lots of people had the same last name! -

I suppose it was simpler times then BtM. Not like now.
Imagine if your son and his mother and you all had the same name these days.
You couldn't walk down the street!

Why has this been moved to the Brookside board?!
This news was for EVERYONE! It was never intended as ‘niche’! -

Well BtM, I know you are relatively new here, the moderators like to file things away so that the eyes of tomorrow can look back upon things in accordance with the cultural norms they were illustrative of. Some people might not know what Hollyoaks or Brookside were and so seeing this on either of those subforums will help help better understand what this is about
The news broke already, "Tonight" was a couple of nights ago and so it is already early into the ageing process

Well what can I say…they have their rules and I have mine!
Perhaps if in future they could consult me about it so that I could at least plead my points for them to consider. That is all I ask. -

We give up such liberties when we post publicly BtM, that's the way the game is played sadly.
But believe me, they thought it for the best and, who knows, perhaps they are right and someone will find this little gem in the future and it will help piece something we can't think of together for them

It was intended as more ‘of the moment’ JK. It was to inform the kindly masses (who might be interested or just curious) that Brookie was returning that night…albeit slotted clumsily into an episode of Hollyoaks (because that was the only way in which Phil Redmond could get to do it). It was to make them aware then and there and after that the intention was for this thread to then sink into the nethers forevermore.
Now it is stook on the Brookie board because some genius seemed to think that the message needed preserving for future generations. This was not my intent. -

You can always delete your thread and replies within it BtM
Only your own though, you don't get to take away other people's
That should let that echo dissipate into the unknowns of the future
