Other than the style of Sam’s hair in the pilot and series finale, he looks relatively the same, along with slight weight gain. But Frasier looks like a stick figure in his first episode (as well as having a full head of hair) compared to how chubby he was in the finale, along with his Bozo the Clown hair. Everyone else looks the same, and I assume the guys, like Sam, wore hairpieces.

Sadly, yes. One of my favorite Coach moments was when Diane, who was leaving for Europe with Frasier, said, “Stand by him” (Sam) and Coach literally walked over to Sam and stood next to him. The fact that Diane rapidly stopped him in his tracks and laughed like, “No, silly, that’s not what I meant” made it all the more hilarious. Pretty bittersweet, since Nick Colasanto died just two days after that episode was filmed. R.I.P.

The whole coach thing was sad.
So was what happened with Timothy Treadwell
But we got our Woody out of it and so there's a silver lining to it all

I know I'm late, but Woody was an excellent replacement for Coach. What I loved about "Cheers," as well as Ted Baxter on "The Mary Tyler Moore Show," was that they didn't go over the top with the "cliche dumb character" schtick. "Married With Children" (Kelly Bundy) and "Martin" (Cole Brown) were notorious for that. But with Woody, it was subtle. The exchanges between him and his intellectually opposite were especially hilarious:
Woody: [getting all excited over a wrestling match on TV]
Frasier: [rolls his eyes] Woody, it's fixed!
Woody: Awe, that's too bad. Hulk Hogan can't have kids.
            Frasier: [sarcasm] It's evolution's loss.
Frasier: You know, we are, after all, born naked, Woody,. I mean it's man's natural state. I mean you and I are both naked beneath our clothes.
Woody: Dr. Crane, you're a married man. [walks away]
Frasier: [touches and observes Tecumseh, the statue at Cheers] Perhaps I'd do better to have a little chat with this gentleman here.

Oddly Kelsey Grammer looks the best nowadays out of any of them.

His hair was too long and looked awful in Cheers.

Not much you can do to look good when you're balding.

Philosophically, would one say Coach aged the most or the least?
