I'm talking about if we implemented a certain policy and one of the potential side effects was a "decrease in population," it wouldn't be a concern. We are so overpopulated that that side effect is only a plus, and we wouldn't have to worry about that ever unless it gets severely critical in decades to come, which is unlikely. We'd have plenty of leeway there.

The post said we should leave those things behind. How'd you infer that anyone specific was being called those names, who according to you, aren't those things?

When's the last time you've seen a pro-life anti-gay marriage Democrat win public office? Or a pro-welfare Atheist anti-gun Republic win office?
It doesn't happen, not because those politicians sincerely believe all their views, but because they're forced to adopt every single stereotype view associated with their party to have a chance at winning.
If you were born into a world where Republican and Democrat never existed, you would not have all the stereotypical views you do now. You only have them because the Republican party told you to. No one is naturally going to form all those stereotypical views on their own without influence.
Parties shouldn't run, people should run. And then people can freely express their views without having to conform to their party's stereotypes. It's more honest and straight to the point.

Technically, yes. Like electronics, you can't recycle them at home or drop them off at a recycling plant. At least you're not supposed to. They have to be taken to a special place that recycles only plastic bags. Because the material is so thin and fine, they get caught in the machines and risk damage. I doubt you're the type who would inconvenience yourself to find the nearest plastic bag drop-off receptacle.
Throwing them in the trash is not only damaging to the environment, but dangerous for small animals. They don't degrade. Squirrels, mice, and birds can walk into them and suffocate. A non biodegradable nonporous bag is very dangerous and life-threatening to be laying around in nature.
Paper bags are safer for animals. One, they biodegrade right into the soil in a short time. Two, the material isn't fine and flexible, allowing animals easy access in and out. Three, animals can bite or chew right through them.
Four, paper decomposes in water. Plastic bags do not. Paper bags in the ocean are harmless. Plastic bags are not. And often they attract fish who may get caught in them. They should be abolished. The downfalls outweigh the simple task of using paper or a reusable bag.
