Possible Black Actors for Rambo

Rambo should def be black if there is a remake. It would just be stupid not to. The thrust of the story is that a returning Vet is subject to police brutality and goes nuts. African Americans are over-represented in the military compared to their precentage of the overall population and, as we've seen recently, they are way more likely to be subjected to police brutality. I also like the idea of having the Sheriff be black as well since the Freddie Graves case proved that African Americans can be just as willing as whites to dish out brutality to "their own people."

If they cast a black actor, they could simply re-title it

A black actor wouldn't work in this movie without enough changes having to be made that would render it a different film.
Rambo was white, so the prejudice he received from Teasle was based on his appearance (and smell apparently), not his race. If Rambo were black, it would change the
whole
dynamic of the movie.

You know, when I was watching it today (for the first time) I thought that had Rambo been black people would have called the race card on the sherrif hassling Rambo, when he was just a kunt I'm sure many cops are just kunts but they get mistaken for racists when hassling black folks
In a potential reboot why not Michael Jai White, Anthonie Mackie or Omar Epps

I think a remake is crazy just because.. , but I definitely don't want to see a black Rambo under any condition. The racial climate in this country has gone down hill in the last few years and the thought of hearing people bitch that the sheriff was hassling Rambo because he was black is too much to stomach.

If they really had to go there they would have to make the Sheriff black as well, keep it racially neutral, then all the cops, the national guardsman would all have to be black. It would turn into a farce in the end.

I think it would work if Rambo and the sheriff were both black, but most of the other characters were white, including Trautman. The sheriff could be motivated to get Rambo out of town the same way he did in the movie and some of the National Guard soldiers could be racist without the movie being focused too much on the racism. I think it would even work if Trautman was somewhat racist without even realizing it.
I'm just expressing my opinion.
