i have recently acquired a CED version of Megaforce. for those who are unfamiliar with this format, it predates laserdisc. with this disc i shall create my own dvd of Megaforce complete with stereo soundtrack, frame by frame spot removal for crystal image clarity, and a custom animated menu with special features such as stills galleries, filmographies and whatever little else i can get to put in there.
I shall also be creating a picture disc and dvd cover art.
this excites me very much. Ever wanted to see the finale with all the tanks rolling with a rumble track blasting through your speakers? -

I bought this on ebay for 99p a few months ago. Brilliant.
Keep your eyes on www.eatmybrains.com, we're doing a special 'Force Night' very soon - movies with Force in the title. Delta Force, Raw Force, Lifeforce amd Megaforce. Yes! -

I swore that I would go see this movie in the theater back in 1982 when I was 13 years old. I STILL have not seen it and I'm now 36!
I really need this one to be made available on DVD. I would hate to have to pay way too much for an old worn out VHS copy on EBay, but I may have to. -

I've got two VHS copies I bought on Ebay. I've been waiting for this one to come out on DVD. Since they put The Final Countdown on DVD (even encoded with DTS), you'd think that MegaForce wouldn't be too far behind.

My goodness. I thought I must be the only person on the planet who remembered this movie. It's almost like a figment of my imagination. My brother and I used to rent this when we were kids, and we thought it was so funny but "exciting." I seem to remember some cartoon of a dancing pig or something - does anyone esle remember that? Oh yes, and the ending, where the guy is flying his motorcylce into the plane; priceless.
For the longest time I thought the title was "Omega Force" or something. I finally found it here. I saw the artwork for the poster and could not surpress my laughter. Sweet headband, and pink title. SOOO 80s. I would LOVE to have a DVD of this, and watch it again, along with a STRONG beverage. -

So funny, I couldn't remember the name of this movie either and finally found it on an Atari 2600 history site. I couldn't remember the name, but I did remember playing the game on my friend's Atari 2600 back in the day.
This is definitely a must-have DVD. -

I just glanced through everyones' postings & share a number of lines as typed
tried figuring out what this film was
remember this film fondly as a kid
thought the vehicles et all were great
etc
Kinda like this line from one of the User Comments
" Truthfully, I don't think it's nearly as horrible as many make it out to bebut certainly not good either. There's enough vehicle stunts and weapons futurismo to keep 12 year olds very entertainedand I think that may be exactly what Hal Needham intended for this project. "
Yeah, I was probably about that old when I saw this. I was thinking that I might like to see it again now before I figured out the name but now I'm wondering if I might feel quite left down or maybe it was this film that fostered a place in my heart for B-films and bad films (so bad its good sort of thing) maybe if not for this film I wouldn't today be so enamored with the likes of both Evil Deads and Army Of Darkness.
Yeah, if I can get my hands on a copy, I'd watch it
