I just glanced through everyones' postings & share a number of lines as typed
tried figuring out what this film was
remember this film fondly as a kid
thought the vehicles et all were great
etc
Kinda like this line from one of the User Comments
" Truthfully, I don't think it's nearly as horrible as many make it out to bebut certainly not good either. There's enough vehicle stunts and weapons futurismo to keep 12 year olds very entertainedand I think that may be exactly what Hal Needham intended for this project. "
Yeah, I was probably about that old when I saw this. I was thinking that I might like to see it again now before I figured out the name but now I'm wondering if I might feel quite left down or maybe it was this film that fostered a place in my heart for B-films and bad films (so bad its good sort of thing) maybe if not for this film I wouldn't today be so enamored with the likes of both Evil Deads and Army Of Darkness.
Yeah, if I can get my hands on a copy, I'd watch it

It's 2008, where the hell is the DVD?!?!?!
Man, I loved watching this on HBO after school like 3 times a week. I had the matchbox cars. I wish I had joined the Ace Hunter fan club. I love the soundtrack too. I remember holding a tape recorder up to the TV just so I could record the opening credit electronica music. I hope they release the score on CD through one of those private collectors releases.
Now where's the DVD? I think Megaforce is the ONLY film that's never been put on DVD. I've seen MUCH worse! For the love of our childhood PUT THIS FILM ON DVD AND BLURAY! -

Six Million Dollar Man is tied up in the U.S. due to rights issues with Martin Caidin and Universal. Don't know what the deal is with FOX and Hal Needham. Maybe it was such a huge financial disaster that FOX would rather bury this film and don't see it making any money on DVD.

A lot of the Amazon reviews mention sound issues (voices too high), and having to send their DVD in for a replacement. It makes buying a copy a bit scary because I don't want to plunk down the cash, get it and then find that it's defective and hope against hope that the company is still willing to send a replacement disc at this point.

Ditto. I recently bought a copy off of Ebay and it's a decent disc good video transfer, adequate audio, region-free, and 16x9 aspect ratio. There are no special features, closed-captioning, alternate languages, or sub-titling.
