I wonder if kids still join stuff like this? In the internet age they probably join on-line and have access to some web content. They're missing out because there was real magic in waiting [and waiting, and waiting, and] for that stuff to arrive in the mail. I remember when my "Ghostbusters" membership kit came [You got a t-shirt!] I was buzzing for days.

I remember seeing this ad on the back covers of a ton of Marvel comic books around the time the movie was released. For years afterward (till I sold my comic collection), any time I pulled a book out that had one of those ads on the back I'd smirk and wonder the same thing - how many kids (if any) actually took them up on the offer to "join" MegaForce.

That is awesome! I don't remember that ad I don't remember the movie much ether to honest. I was talking movies with my mom & dad over the weekend and they reminded me about how I wanted to rent this movie every time we went to video store. I have no idea what the plot was, I some what remember the crazy dune buggies, tanks, and choppers with lasers, but I for sure remember the flying motorcycle at the end.
That ad is sick though, I think I am going to make some t-shirts out of that image

That's not your memory acting up on you, there really wasn't one

I some what remember the crazy dune buggies, tanks, and choppers with lasers, but I for sure remember the flying motorcycle at the end.
Throw in some spandex jumpsuits, silk scarves and white headbands and that's the movie in a nutshell.
That ad is sick though, I think I am going to make some t-shirts out of that image

does anyone know where I might be able to buy this movie (DVD or VHS)? or download/watch it online? I tried netflix, but had no luck.
Sadly it's still not been released on R1 DVD, and the VHS is long out of print and could be a bit pricey just for a nostalgia trip.
I checked Youtube but the full movie isn't up. There are likely some more dubious ways to watch it on-line if you know anything about torrents and the like but I can barely operate my microwave so I can't help you there.
