Samantha Smith-13-peace activist/goodwill ambassador between The US and the Soviet Union during the cold war. At age 10 she wrote a letter to Yuri Andropov and was invited to visit. She became very famous in the Soviet Union after she traveled there. Had a monument built to her, a commemorative stamp, asteroid named after her, Per Nørgård composed a concerto in her memory, a diamond, a cultivator of tulips and dahlias and a ship all named after her. She also started peacemaking with Japan. Traveling back home after visiting Japan and Prime Minister Yasuhiro Nakasone her plane crashed. She gave a voice for children of the world.
