Actually that makes more sense to put it up close to Christmas and leave it up a little ways into January as the 12 days of Christmas start on Christmas day.

I put up other decorations to get in the spirit, but wait until closer to the holiday to put up the tree.

Lights and other decorations go up next weekend. Tree will go up 1-2 weeks before Christmas as we get a real tree and we don’t want it to be dead for Christmas.

They are up. I put them up outside in early November before it got too cold.
They are lit for the first time tonight, and making our neighborhood look even brighter!
I never turn them on outside until after Thanksgiving.
As for the inside of the house, the tree is up and the halls are decked!
