The idea of a car being the killer is pretty lame when you think about it which is why I always avoided this. I really shouldn't have doubted 80's
Carpenter. The actors are all likable, the atmosphere, pacing and music is perfect. There's a good 10-15 classic quotes in this film. It's also highly rewatchable. I ended up really loving this film. -

The explanation for the car's abilities and murderous tendencies are actually quite different between the movie and the book, but I really enjoy both of them.
So, after you've watched the movie a few times, read the book - if you haven't, already. They are the same basic story, told two different ways.- Oh, SOMEbody asides me is gonna RUE this here particular day
