There's an anthology called The Uncanny (1977) that I love which features an author played by Peter Cushing who is convinced cats are evil and tells three stories about them to prove his belief. It's very much like Tales From the Crypt, The House That Dripped Blood, From Beyond the Grave, The Vault of Horror, etc. If you like those you should like it.

The last half of "Two Evil Eyes" (1990) is based on Poe's story "The Black Cat" and was pretty scary. The sequence was directed by Dario Argento and involves a memorable trippy dream sequence with a witch and cat. And that ending creepy as hell.

Also, there's a 1961 Hammer film called "Shadow of the Cat" which has a housecat avenging the murder of her mistress. Not extremely scary, but entertaining nonetheless.

Pet Sematary, the original and remake are the closest I can think of.

A segment from the 1990 anthology movie, Tales From The Darkside…
The Stephen King short story… The Cat From Hell.
                Here's a scene from that segment…

The laughably ridiculous Greydon Clark film Uninvited is about a killer mutant cat terrorizing folks on a yacht.
You've seen Guy Standeven in something because the man was in everything.

The “Cat from Hell” segment of the Tales from the Darkside 1990 movie is an adaptation of a Stephen King short story about an evil, murderous black cat.
                        Basically Cujo with a cat.
