I know in this generation people have cell phones and what not,
But in the 80s, how else, could Donna and Ted escape from Cujo?
My only solution was when, Donna tried to start the car for the second time, it worked temporarily then stopped.
I think donna's mistake was slowly driving and stopping for like 1 whole minute to say beep you dog"
If she hadn't done that, she could have drove a little further, perhaps just enough to escape from Cujo.
Anything else. -

Yes, if Donna had followed car safety rules. Experts say to always prepare for occasions when you might have to stay in your car for an extended period of time. She could have had any number of things to help her and her son. For example, a cooling blanket, I believe it is called; water and food in the car. Even though there might not have been cell phones back then, I'm sure there were other ways of reaching someone back then, weren't they?

Dog owners not letting their dogs wander around, that's how children get bit. I see it in the news all the time.
Well to be fair, the Cambers had a large rural property and Cujo didn't have a history of attacking folk.
The Cambers though ignored warning signs in their dog and it would have been obvious that Cujo was unwell. It wasn't like Cujo was a feral dog and turned rabid while no-one was around to witness it.
Norman! What did you put in my tea?
