Teegy (TGS) and I vote for The Sogger method (I speak for Teegy on this board when he's too busy quoting the movie to speak for himself). Glenn also votes for The Sogger method (He's just currently viewing in Flat mode, so that's what he's happy with right now, but when he switches back to Nested, he's gonna love The Sogger method!)

The problem with this is that it's impossible to tell if Reply #42 is a reply to #41, #39, #21, #19, or #01, but it's still a lot better than Flat were you have absolutely no idea who replied to who. People generally reply to either the OP or the latest post, so it's still going to be easy to tell who is replying to who 99% of the time.
I definitely do not want to have to click on each post manually to see each one.
In fact, I'd love an option where I can view an entire thread of 1000 posts all on one page. I'd rather scroll than constantly switch pages. I never understood why IMDb switched to pagination. I say just keep it simple and keep it all on one page.
Pagination is still lots better on this web-site than on MovieChat. What a nightmare!
Edit after further thought: Wait, if Reply #42 was to #21, #19, or #01, it would end up further up on the page, so that wouldn't be a problem. It would just be a question of it's a reply to #41 or #39 (if I'm thinking this through correctly). Okay, this is more complicated than I thought, but I still think that we ought to give it a try. -
