Doctor: We tell families to hope for the best and prepare for the worst.
Aurora: And they let you get away with that?
There is also one early on that I don't know how many people ever caught. Aurora tells one of her new male admirers, "Don't worship me until I've earned it."
There are so many good quotes. . .

You've noticed great lines. That quote "Don't worship me until I've earned it." is not a line that many women must be up to these days ha I guess:)

What is it?
-Just how absolutely good I feel. And even though I'm scared and we've committed adultery,no matter what happens,I'm just so grateful to God or the devil forletting me feel this way again.

I'm going to take this one very personally.
The birthday scene when the doctor thinks Aurora is 52 instead of 50 (which everyone else believes)
I'll be 50 in 10 months. MY problem is I look so young people think I'm 35 now (except for the bangs becoming white). -

The number of awesome, highly quotable lines (both funny and dramatic) in this movie is simply huge, but the monologue that always makes me cry (heavily, from then on until the movie ends) and is, for that reason, the most memorable to me, is this one:
"I know you like me. I know it. For the last year or two, you've been pretending like you hate me. I love you very much. I love you as much as I love anybody, as much as I love myself. And in a few years when I haven't been around to be on your tail about something or irritating you, you could remember that time that I bought you the baseball glove when you thought we were too broke. You know? Or when I read you those stories? Or when I let you goof off instead of mowing the lawn? Lots of things like that. And you're gonna realize that you love me. And maybe you're gonna feel badly, because you never told me. But don't - I know that you love me. So don't ever do that to yourself, all right?" -

I remember when this movie first came out.there was some line about raising kids (Emma in the hospital) "as hard as you think it's going to be, you wish it were that easy"
Anyway, something like that. My husband and I looked at each other never had any.

I always crack up when Emma is on the phone with Aurora, telling her about the lumps under her arms and Aurora says that it's something with her sweat glands, that she doesn't "keep herself up" and "you never did learn how to wash." LOL

There really are too many to mention, but just watching it now Emma and John Lithgow's character having a clandestine conversation. The operator cuts in with an "emergency" breakthrough request from her mother. Operator: "Will you release?" Lithgow: "Oh, of course operator. We were just talking."
And minutes later, Aurora on the phone with (Jack): "if I don't answer, that means the back door's open." Then, Jack, with his devilish-Jack look: "The back door's open!". Classic..
