Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — Uncommon Valor

This movie, and others in the same genre (Rambo Part 2, MIA), make it look like time stood still in Vietnam after the war with the US ended. In these movies, Vietnamese soldiers maintain the same defensive posture as if the war was still going on. They also seem to have the ability to maintain complex aircraft without having a supply line or trained mechanics to do so. Both Uncommon Valor and Rambo have the Vietnamese owning and operating Huey's 10 years after the war.

    My bio isn't blank.

Do you know for a fact that they didn't?
