You thought a show was so "brilliant" (but canceled)that you can't even get the title right?
It was I'll Fly Away. Not "All".
And I'm pretty sure it was on in the 90sas was Homefront
But a good review otherwise -

You've got 2 shows mixed up. This thread is for "Call To Glory", a show from the early 80s, with Craig T. Nelson in the lead role.
"I'll Fly Away" was a show from the early 90s with Sam Waterston in the lead role.
There is no apparent connection between the 2 shows.
