or are the final episodes of season five on the DVD's in a messed up order? The season five I have has Freefall parts 1 & 2 as the very last episode but the IMDB page of season five has that episode airing before the final five episodes did originally.

There were 4 "lost" episodes that didn't air on the show's original NBC run but in syndication afterwards. So on the Dvd release they put those episodes after the finale "Freefall".
