He doesn't care about society any more than he can do what he wants to do and get away with it at any cost, even his dignity. The principal of his school is Jeffrey Jones who two years prior plays the similar role of Emperor in Amadeus (1984); and, Ferris's sister is in the role of Salieri, trying to slip him up along the way because of her jealousy, yet in the end she goes to jail and learns to accept that Ferris will always win and be loved by everyone.
