Victor = Gay?!

In the extras, Bronson Pinchot says that he based the role on guys in clothing stores and jewelry stores in Hollywood who have ambiguous accents. I take it some of them are gay and in the 1980s jokes about dudes being gay was fairly common place.
Lest we forget, Eddie Murphy himself had a track on his comedy album "Comedian" called "Fts Revisited" (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comedian_(album)). -

Just to end this debate once and for all, I watched the movie. Firstly this line happens not near the end but near the beginning, in the scene at Maitland's office, and it. is not directed at Zack but someone on the phone.
The scene goes like so:
[Axel enters, interrupting Maitland who is on the phone; the ever-present Zack is in a chair reading National Geographic.]
Maitland: [to Axel while on phone] Who let you in here?
Axel: I let myself in. [to Zack] How you doing? [to Maitland] Have to ask you some questions about Michael Tandino.
Maitland: [looks at Zack]
Zack: [ominously (!) closes National Geographic]
Maitland: Speak to you later, darling. [is then seen hanging up]
The assumption that it's directed at Zack is due to Maitland looking over at him in a meaningful way and Maitland's line occurring offscreen during a shot of Zack. Still, as he was in the middle of a phone call and says the line before hanging up, clearly the line - "Speak to you later, darling." - was directed at whoever was on the phone. Possibly his secretary who had phoned up to warn him, too late, of the unwanted floral delivery.
If it had been directed at Zack, he would've left, as the line is clearly dismissive. -

No I think you'll find that you're talking about the wrong scene.
The scene that the post writer is meaning, is when Victor and Zack visit Jenny at the art gallery.
Victor picks up, or is about to pick up, a magazine before sitting down and says ''excuse me darling'' to Zack.
Now hopefully that is settled once and for all. -

No, Victor wasn't gay.
Victor was an egomaniacal psychopath who surrounded himself with people who were dependent on him, in order to support his ego, and he related to others only superficially.
To most people, 'darling' would indicate a close relationship, whereas to victor it is simply a word that he uses instead of a persons name in order to avoid relating to that person. -

Are you kidding?! He clearly has attraction towards Jennie (well who wouldn't?). In the scene where he approached her about Axel it definitely seemed like he wasn't there just for questioning.
He says to Jennie, as she is being kidnapped, "I think you should be more worried about what we are going to do to you"
With Axel they plan on just killing him. But with Jennie it is obvious that he has other intentions first. The fact that she is taken to the house alive is a dead giveaway. -

I dunno it really could be either way lol but either way it's irrelevant. Listening to Victor speak and his mannerisms he could well be gay. It's been a while since I watched the movie but did he maybe have a little earring in as well? Not too sure but he could certainly be gay.
That's how they get you! They're under the goddamn ground!
