Rumble Fish, Blue Velvet, Raging Bull, Once Upon a Time In America, After Hours, The Elephant Man, The Shining, etc., you know, those types of serious film-making, artsy films and what not are my favorites from the decade. But in terms of comedy movies, this one is certainly one of the best.

The Mask with Cher I think that was an 80's movie
          Beverly Hills Cop of course
          Ghostbusters 1, 2, and 3
          Just One Of The Guys
Back To The Future this movie is a classic
ET (I think this one has to be my most favorite from the 80's)
          Gremlins
          Drop Dead Fred

This. This is one of, if not my favorite movie of all time it's just timeless for me. So funny and I can watch it over again.

My favourite movie from the 1980's is probably Amadeus.

Ghostbusters (1984), Commando (1985), Once Bitten (1985) and Legacy of Rage (1986) are my favorites. Honorable mention The Young Master (1980).

Lot of 80s movies I love. Hard to pick just one, but if I absolutely had to I'd say Back to the Future (1985).

The 80's was the best decade for movies ever, there are so many good ones I could make a list of at least 100 to 200 that are some of my all time favorites. If I had to narrow it down to only one or a few it would be:
                            Aliens
                            Empire Strikes Back
                            Back to the Future
                            Raiders of the Lost Ark
                            Blade Runner
I was never a big fan of E.T., I liked it but didn't love it. After being a blown away 4 year old after seeing Star Wars, E.T. was a let down. Cute, fun story but kind of whimpy, I will still watch it today for nostalgia value (everything in it looks and reminds me of being a kid during that time period) but I think it's one of the more over rated movies from the 80's.
                            My guilty pleasure movies are:
                            The Last Starfighter
                            Krull
                            Clash of the Titans
                            The Monster Squad
                            The Thing
                            Risky Business
One movie I absolutely can't stand from the 80's is When Harry Met Sally.

I love Beverly Hills Cop. I just re-watched it last night; grew up watching it but did not think it to be as good as I did last night! Hilarious film with great script! 10/10.
Favourite 80s movies (not in any order):
Midnight Run (same director as BHC. Even better and funnier; amongst my all time favourite films)
                                The Shining
                                Kagemusha
                                Scanners
                                Thief
                                Indiana Jones Trilogy
                                Escape From New York
                                Halloween 2
                                The Long Good Friday
                                Conan the Barbarian
                                Mad Max 2
                                The Thing
                                The King of Comedy
