After the Star Wars films, I'd say that Aliens, Raiders of the lost Ark, Terminator, and the Hunt for Red October are the best of the 80s. But I think Beverly hills cop would probably be in my top 10 or 15 for the 80s

Star Wars was 1977. I think Empire was 1980 and Jedi was what 84 so I guess they qaulify. And what about the Fright Night films and the Road Warrior and Silver Bullet?

No particular order:
Empire Strikes Back- classic
Return of the Jedi- classic
Indiana Jones Trilogy- all classics
Airplane!- classic
48 Hours- classic
E.T.- classic
Rocky III (I don't like Rocky IV)
First Blood (Rambo 2 and 3 are too dated, although Rambo 4 was a great flick)
Ghostbusters- classic (Ghostbusters 2 was good)
Beverly Hills Cop- classic (BHC 2 was okay)
Back to the Future- classic (Part 2 is becoming dated, but is still one of the best movie sequels ever)
Cloak and Dagger
The Goonies
Die Hard
