Archived from the IMDb Discussion Forums — I Need To Know

I know this is a movie forum,I've asked this question other places with no luck.
    So anyways
It was a book about monsters and had "facts"along with pictures.
This book was in my elementary library in the mid 80's and was about the size of a time life book maybe a little thicker and hard cover.
I'm pretty sure the book was printed in the late 70's. But I do know it was older than 1987.
A page I remember from book had some pictures of vampires in Europe and these were small mischievous vampires.
One of the pictures had an old farm house with no window and it had some vampires outside the window wanting to get in another pictures had some vampires digging up graves.
And the author would write some stuff, like for vampires you are suppose to hang garlic in the windows to keep them out and other things that I think were believed in that time in history.
It's been a very long time, so it's hard to remember. But I'm pretty sure what I mentioned was the general idea of the book.
    Thanks for any help.
It is not "things you've always wanted to know about monsters , but you're afraid to ask".

Could it be Demons, Monsters & Abodes of the Dead by Robin Palmer?

You're welcome. My brother and I had it in paperback in the late 70's/early 80's.
