Yeah, Mike in the sand like a friggin turtle was too much! Haha!
My favorite isn't really a scene but any time they show a shot of the ring of candles in front of his door. The implications of how they got there every morning (Jennifer lighting them, the maid ignoring them, Mike stepping over/into them) cracks me up even now! -

Two favorite scenes: When Matthew is frantically packing his suitcase when he overhears Jennifer talking to her dad about an older man, and he is like, "close, you b**tard close" lol.
And when Jennifer gives her self portrait to Matthew and a Japanese tourist tries to take pictures of her portrait LOL.

These are all really good scenes, but I think my fav is when Victor was reading Jennifer's diary to Matthew. Victor is reading her descriptions of her lover and Matthew is afraid Vic will realize who she is talking about. Vic reads something about her lover's mouth and funny teeth so Matt closes his his mouth shut. Vic reads about the eyes, so Matt reaches over and puts on these dorky looking red sunglasses and when Vic asked him why he did that, he said he was getting a sty, lol! I laughed so hard at that whole exchange. Michael Cain has really great comedic timing.
Victor: his sweet mouth and his funny teeth. (not exact, but something to this effect)
(Matthew shuts his mouth tight).
Victor: I get lost in his beautiful blue eyes.
(Matthew reaches over and puts on sunglasses that were sitting on a dresser).
Victor: What did you do that for?
Matthew: I'm getting a sty.
Victor: Just like that?
Matthew: How else?
I'm smitten. I'm in deep smit. -

Dude, the funniest scene is when jennifer is talking to her dad about having sex and Caine is listening with a tube of toothpaste in his hand, thinking he's gonna go down in flames and she says something telling and he squeezes the tube and tooth paste squirts out. Hilarious.

The "I thought you quit smoking" scene at the breakfast table, when Jennifer writes in the sugar and Matthew swishes it away.
Then he says "I did quit" . . . while he's got a cigarette in his mouth, he's so unnerved he can't even think straight. -

I have three.
Scene 1: When two acquaintances are at the wedding and to hide the fact he is naked Matthew buries himself in the sand. They inquire if the other naked body (Jennifer) is Karen, he replies that she couldn't come and frantically tells them she is dead.
Scene 2: When Jennifer is explaining to her father the older man she had sex with, Matthew is frantically packing and is like, "Close, you ba$tard, close".
Scene 3: When Jennifer shows the picture she took of herself to Matthew on the tram, that guy tries to take a picture of it.

I love when they find the girls topless on the beach, and Jennifer is just so outgoing about being alf-naked, while Nikki looks like a quiet younger sister, jealous that she hasn't 'blossomed' yet.
"Thanks, guys." "So long, partner."- Toy Story 3 (9/10)

I think you might have missed the subtle looks Demi Moore flashed as the two girls were coming over to their dads, then pushing/dragging Michelle's "Dad" into the water. She knew she was up to something (in the film).
Did anyone wonder why they were topless on the beach in the first place, (without their dads), and then were seen by their fathers when they went to the refreshment stand? And what were they going to use to buy something anyway no purses, etc.? When they went over to their dads, they had no fruit drinks, or anything in their hands
Were they trying to attract boys, were they trying to 'prove' they were no longer their daddy's little girl(s), or both?
Both of those actions would likely have been upsetting to a "dad". Michael Caine's character was pretty much completely speechless, as the cutaway dialog explained, (
"I've always been uncomfortable with nudity, even my own"
).
The other back story is that Demi Moore was in the "TV soap operas", and seemed to be wanting to break out of the TV business typecasting, into movies. As many other actresses have done, she played the "equal, except card(s)", and BIOR was her first topless role. That alone could have explained her "quiet" demeanor in that scene. BIOR was quickly followed by her second movie, NO SMALL AFFAIR, which also included not only a topless appearance, but her first sex scene, arguably in love or gratitude with the kid who spent all his savings on her. And the list goes on from there. -

Mine is near the end when both dads are fighting it out and end up on the bed and the housekeeper walks in, looks, makes the sign of the cross and walks out .
And Matthew's voice says, something like, "I hate to admit it but Victor had now slept with 2 of the 3 members of my family!" I laughed so hard. But lots of great lines. -

Riiiiiiight!
As I recall, she grabbed his head and immediately went with her tongue
I thought the scenes involving the necklace she gave him were pretty funny as they went through the movie. When he got it, he immediately made a comment about a "one inch idol" and tucked inside his shirt before he ran to the picnic lunch. It showed up a couple other times through the remainder of the film, each requiring an explanation.
My other favorite was when he finally was leaving, he told the housekeeper something about having heard quite enough from her, when she
NEVER
spoke during the movie But she sure did communicate!

And good god, the way he kissed her.
