This is on Comcast on demand's free movies right now. I enjoyed the nudity as much as the next gal, but am I the only one who bursts into laughter in the middle of business meetings when that title song creeps into my head?
And, while we're on the topic of cheezy, WTF with the closing credits? The pink background rising on the right hand side of the screen? That's corny, even for the '80s.
Anyhow, I must say the script wasn't bad. The comedy, plus the suspense of Adam Sandler's father from Big Daddy finding out about Michael Caine and his daughter actually made it tolerable enough for me to watch it to the end.
Script: 8 out of 10
Acting: 9 out of 10
Directing: 7 out of 10
Soundtrack: There is no f'n number that low. -

The music and the graphics are intended to
project an audience, an American audience,
into another country and into another culture.
It's the same reason that 50s and 60s music
and a yellow deuce coupe were used in American
graffiti. Gonna take your mind to central
California valley towns, Cat. -

You definitely don't want to watch the film right before you go to bed. You won't get that awful 'Blame it on Rio' song out of your head.
That being said, you gave the other aspects of the film WAY higher grades than they warranted. EVERYTHING about the film was bad. But that's what makes it kinda good. = ]
