When I was 14 years old , when it was first released in the theaters . Wow , I am old ! Loved it then , I still love it but more for nostalgia reasons . My first horror movie without "parental" supervision . My friends and I packed into the theater .

About 2 minutes ago. I held off watching it because I didn't think I would like it, then saw it on an 80's horror movie site and decided to check it out. Now I'm kicking myself for not watching it for so long x_x
Eh, at least now all the movies are made so I can watch all of them at once instead of waiting years between them xD

I saw it at a drive-in when it first came out. I think I was either a Freshman or Sophomore at the time.

I might have been in the 5th or 6th grade, so 11 or 12 when my mom's boyfriend's kid and her boyfriend were watching it.

i first saw it around 1996 or 97 I was 15 or 16 in a show called Svengooli for anybody who doesn't live in the chicagoland area, it's a show that show that shows retro movies and the hosts name is Svengooli dresses up in scary makeup. I just remember Issac creeping me out but at the same time finding him cute.

I was 15, and saw it at the theater. I had already read the short story, but I enjoyed the movie a lot. Everything we saw bratty kids after that, we called them "children of the corn!"

I saw it back in 2002, I believe, back when I was in the ninth grade. I rented it from the local video store.

I rented it at Blockbuster when I was seven. The sickle caught my eye. I was impressed with the movie's drama.

I was at least 14 but not much older (born in 1970, so I was 13/14 when it was release). My guess is that I saw it on its first UK screening on TV. I was in the midst of an obsessive Stephen King phase in my teens, and I wouldn't have missed the chance to watch a film of one of his stories.
I'm just now rewatching it some 30 years later. Much as I remembered it in term of quality and tone. Knowing what I was like as a teenager I'm sure Linda Hamilton also impacted on my fondness for the film
