It is like watching Paul Lynde play, as he sometimes did, a married man with children. He is supposed to be straight, but he doesn't act like he is. And Jack Sparrow acts like he would rather be with the boys. Why does Depp do it? Because it is fun to camp it up. He would probably sissify James Bond.

No not threatened just think that pirates esp a feared captain would have to be tough not a prancing fool or they would have been killed by their own men. And I guess I could be accused of fearing strong women because I felt that girl was a super bitch.

Just cause pirates had a huge tradition of sodomy on the high seas (hence the term butt pirate etc) doesnt mean they where gay if doing it or even receiving!
