Did he claim he had sex with that many women in a single year? That's not possible.
Over 15 years it still equals three per day. So only over 25 years or more would the 20,000 claim be entirely feasible.

There are 365 days in the year.
20,000/365 = 54 years.
I got news for you, that's an impressive number of
orgasims
to have in a lifetime, so I think it's probably improbable that Wilt Chamberlain had that many women. Basketball players don't have to be proficient in math, but anybody walking out of 9th grade should be able to look at that number and call BS on it. -

Anyway, I don't know, I just went through 20 years where I probably had 15,000 orgasms.
Not that I believe 20,000 women, but intercourse 20,000 times over 30 years seems doable if you're in good health and women throw themselves at you.

Let's say Wilt started at the tender age of 13 and was sexually active for 50 years.
Now
let's do the math.
20,000 / 50 years = 400. This is the number
per year
, of encounters he would have had. 400 / 365 = 1.09589 per day.
Now, all of a sudden, it doesn't seem so improbable.

I rewatched Conan the Destroyer recently and it got me thinking about Chamberlain's seemingly outlandish claims. So here's the math for anybody thinking about it. Wilt's autobiography (where he made the 20,000 claim) came out in 1991. He died in 1999 at 63 so in 1991 he was around 55 years old. He also claims to have been having sex since he was 15 so that gives us a nice even 40 years to divide the 20,000 into, meaning his claims round out to 500 different women a year. That's about 1.36986301 a day or just over 4 women every 3 days.
That still sounds exhausting to me. But I have to imagine any man who makes such a claim hase been to many orgies in his life and he could easily have had sex (of one sort or another) with 10+ women in a single night, allowing for a decent multi-day hiatus afterward while still on track to reaching the notorious 20,000.
