No unfortunately, both times he was wearing not necessarily a wig, but hair extensions. That's why he's almost always wearing some sort of headband, it covered up where the extensions were connected to his own hair. In some close-ups, you can actually see the ends of his own hair underneath the wig parts, they end about chin-length.
It's too bad, too, because he looked 100x hotter with long hair than his usual short hair.

Answer: NO. Arnold's own hair was short was added with longer hairpiece/wig for the Conan character.

Sorry guys but I want to clarify something, In Conan the Destroyer and Red Sonja it is 100% a wig/Extention. However, In Conan the Barbarian 1982 it was real,
in the scenes where he is freed onward, it is real.

I remember that interview, it was also the first I had heard of Conan so I went to the city library and looked for them
