Should I see the first film?

Hi, Is it required that I see Conan the Barbarian before i see Conan the Destroyer? thanks

Not really. There are 1 or 2 references to the first film but nothing major

But he is convinced to go on the quest because of the woman in the first film. But still not necessary to see it because it's not like you won't get it

My question is why on earth would any one watch this first rather than see the magnificent first movie first??
Don't get me wrong this is a fun movie, but terrible terrible compared to the original
