Do you hate Willie Scott more or Short Round

Willie Scott. When I first saw this movie, I loved the fact that I could relate to it and the plot; however, Willie was just distracting all the way through. This movie appears to take place in Asia or with cultures centered around Asia and Short Round is Asian. So even if he was annoying, his physical look kind of blended him in.
THERE IS NOTHING TO FEAR. COLLEGE FOOTBALL IS HERE!!! -

It's a toss up for me. They both suck, in my opinion. I don't care how nice looking Willie is eitherAfter a short while she's a pain in the ass. Based on that, they should have named her Short While.Together with Short Round they could conquer the I Jones universe in the most annoying ways possible.

I typically abhor the token kid sidekickand did even when I was a kid myself but Short Round has grown on me over the years. Jonathan Ke Quan is quite likeable in a role that could've grated in lesser hands. I'm not sad he's a one and done character, but I like him here.
But my feelings toward Willie have only grown colder. Kate Capshaw is a beautiful woman, and an actress I've liked in other roles, but her Willie Scott is the equivalent of someone screaming in your ear when you already have a bad headache. -

Willie is waaaay worse. Short Round at least understands where they are, gets into the spirit of adventure, and tries to solve problems. Willie is rude, selfish, oblivious to everything but herself, and, worst of all, kind of stupid.
I hadn't seen this one in a long time until a few days ago, and was surprised by how much I disliked her. Short Round I remember being annoyed by even when I was a kid myself, so I expected to dislike him (and still do, though not as much as Willie), but I thought (in retrospect, as an adult) that the only reason I found Willie irritating when I was a kid was that she wasn't an awesome badass like Marion, who I loved (and still do). I was actually hoping that re-watching it, she would grow on me. Nope. I disliked her even more. I get that it's supposed to be funny that she's constantly whining about her hair or bugs or something, or perfuming an elephant like a moron, while Indy is dying, but it's not.
Ugh. Man up, Willie. No one should have to tell you, an adult woman, that if you're a guest and the very poor people around you are giving you food, you eat it with gratitude and stop looking at them like dirt under your shoe.
