Was there ever any intention for Aykroyd's cameo or character to play a larger role than just a cameo? I kind of get the sense that Indiana already knew him. Just curious. Thanks.

I just watched this and COMPLETELY missed his appearance.

He was the airplane boarder at the airport early in the film. He was speaking with an English accent saying thinks like "Get on board Mr. Jones! Your plane awaits!"
