When entering the tournament the guy at the front desk tells Miagi that only brown belt and above are allowed and Miagi is surprised and proceeds to steal the poor guy's black belt. My question is, what did they plan on tying his gi up with in the first place? Oops.

They might have brought a lower-ranked belt, e.g. white, since Miyagi wasn't aware of the tournament rules.
But didn't Miyagi grab the belt from a box of them? That was odd. All the tournament entrants would already have belts, so why would there be a box of them on the table?

MiyaGAY steals building materials and money from the maintenance fund from the crappy apartment complex where he pulls down a salary for doing mediocre "work"..he has no problem with stealing a belt that belonged to someone else. I mean, he stole the anal cherry of an obviously underage boy who needed a father figure..
