I personally would label Betty's entrance to Michael's apartment as that.

Spoilers
No, Mike's body is removed from his apartment by law enforcement. Betty looks over Mike's apartment after the body has been removed from the crime scene.
It is Pete's body that is dumped at the end. Remember, the killers took him from Betty's house? -

I would say the scariest scene is when Pete, on the lam, is hanging out at the apartment of a guy he has just sold some coke to. The friend has left the apartment and Pete is still there, drinking a beer and contemplating his situation. A woman comes knocking on the smoked glass door, ostensibly a friend of the coke-buying-guy with innocent intentions. Pete, desperate, seems to consider answering the door and moves toward it. All of a sudden you see the shape of a man, who has heretofore not said anything so you don't know he's there press his face against the glass, as if listening for someone inside to reveal themself. Pete, terrified, exits out of a back door. There are many great terrifying moments in this movie, and this is just one of them. A vastly underrated film.
