I've heard conflicting reports that it was David Warner, but that looks like him under the makeup.
As you can see, they experimented with the hats. I always heard of the newsboy cap, but never saw it til a few years ago. The final product is the best choice onboth fronts.

I wonder if they were really gonna have him sleeveless or if that was just an incomplete sweater.
One thing I wish they kept in the original conception was a trench coat.

Yeah, I like the bald Freddy head but I like the fedora too. I like how it usually comes off at some point. Kinda luke Jason's mask.

Maybe he could have had on different hats for different nightmares.
Like one kid dreams he is in a fire and FK shows up in a fireman outfit with the helmet.
Or another one is in the Wild West and he wears a cowboy hat.
Or is that too campy?

Yeah, that would be dumb.
I think at one point, Wes was considering red and yellow rather than red and green being the sweater colors.
