It was snowy and windy and my feet were freezing. We didn't have any money for presents so we were staring in the store window at the xmas displays. She looked so beautiful so innocent and childlike. She turned around and caught me looking at her with a sad look. She told me "Hey, don't be sad, it's Christmas and we've got each other"
Then she hugged me and she held me really tight.The more we held on to each other the quieter it got. All the traffic sounds disappeared and the only thing I could hear was the sound of her breathing.
I have never felt that connected to a human being before or since.
It was the single most perfect moment of my life.

Uhhh yeah, straight over my head. Apparently that's my new thing tonight.
I do appreciate being a part of the best moment of your life if only for a brief time.
Especially since I didn't even know it was happening.
