        Point taken.
I remember an old Flash Gordon serial where Flash and one of Ming's guards fall off the top of Ming's palace (and fall like stones). Flash survived because he landed on top.

If her head doesn't end up in a box, not interested.
Actually, I don't know which is worse: being killed horribly, or being killed by Kevin Spacey.

I like this film, but Kruge's death was so cheesy

There are one or two bad ones in WHERE EAGLES DARE, which I noticed even when I watched it in the theater as a little kid. Also, the one at the end of DR. CYCLOPS doesn't look that great if I remember correctly.
A fairly good (and still shocking) use of the same effect, however, is in KING KONG '33 when Kong plucks the woman out of her bed and then drops her several stories. There's also a still of a shot in which Kong's own demise was done the same way but the background bled through.

The entire Genesis Planet fight sequence was one of the worst executed in the history of film. Certainly the worst Star Trek fight sequence, whether speaking of TOS or films. From the "rocks" shooting up through the "ground" to the extremely weak cliff edge wiggling down the canyon on a cable (the Kruge fall goes without saying), it was just plain bad. It's unfortunate that they had to spend more money to try and demonstrate how unstable the planet was by using such cheesy set pieces, when a simple shaky cam coupled with some quality mattework would have sufficed.

Don't forget Kruge's fake eyebrow falling off.

Having recently revisited Ghost Story from 1981, the scene of Craig Wasson naked and falling from a sky scraper early in the story is easily the worst thing I have ever seen!

I am not a fan. I just happen to enjoy movies. Fans are embarrassing.

Kirk's fall off El Capitan at the beginning of Star Trek V was even worse.
